Service Description

The Grade 8 – 9 Transition Math Enrichment program is intended to prepare grade 8 learners for grade 9 by focusing on developing the foundational numeracy skills that are essential for math success at the high school level. Learning Objectives may include: • Review of order of operations • Review of number sense skills related to fractions, decimals, ratios, and precents • Introduction to exponent laws • Understanding and translating math terminology (e.g. sum, difference, product of) • Review of foundation algebra concepts • Solving application and word problems
